We must lead those who love God to demonstrate that love by serving others. Christ's example of service to others is the heart of the Gospel--serving even to His death on the cross. Serving others is God's love in action.
Serving others begins when we allow ourselves to think of others, putting their needs before our own. This can happen, not only at Cross Pointe but also where we live, work and play--serving in an area of church ministry, volunteering in your community, or finding ways to help those with greater needs than our own. Our belief that serving others is important comes from Christ’s example in Mark 10:42: “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life--a ransom for many.”
