Tanya Giddens joined the Cross Pointe staff in 2003, and current serves in our Facilities Director, coordinating all setups and housekeeping for buildings on campus. "I love working in a Christian environment and my job has a lot of variety," she explains.

Tanya came to Christ as a young adult. She recounts, "I accepted Christ as my personal savior at the age of 25 in the office of my pastor, James Hester, at Arlington Christian Center in Arlington, TX. I started going to this church because of an invitation from a friend and after attending three months and reading on my own, realized what was missing in my life--a saving relationship with Christ! Never underestimate the power of a simple invitation to an unsaved friend, family member or co-worker."

God has equipped Tanya for ministry and she enjoys her role at Cross Pointe, serving with our staff and under the leadership of our Pastor. "I enjoy the sermon messages from Pastor Merritt. James Merritt has been my pastor for over 25 years."

Tanya and her husband, Greg, have been married 27 years. They have two children, Amanda and Alayna, and one grandchild, Caden. Their family is originally from Texas.

Favorite Scripture: Romans 5:3-4. "...but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope." I love this verse because it assures me that in this world there are trials but I can learn from them, serve in them, and come out victorious.

What Tanya does with free time: "I love to read, my Bible, Christian fiction, history and biographies. I enjoy card making and scrapbooking and knitting."

Tanya's favorite vacation: Cruise to Barbados.

Tanya's favorite food: Chocolate

Worst thing Tanya ever ate: "Some of my own cooking."

Famous people Tanya would liked to have met: "I would have loved to have met Abraham Lincoln, Helen Keller, Ruth Graham, and Mary, mother of Jesus."

Tanya's favorite musical artist: Chris Tomlin

Something Tanya learned from her parents: "I learned from my father that if I learned to read a map, I could go anywhere."
