Daily Time with God
Scripture
Observation
Application
Prayer
When you're building something, the foundation is the most important part. If the foundation isn't level, the rest of the building will be off as well.

It's the same in your walk with Christ. If your starting premise is incorrect, then every subsequent decision and conclusion you make will likely also be off. For Christ-followers, the Bible is our basic premise. Other books, authors, speakers, media--they all have their places--but they can never be a substitute for the original--God's Holy Word.

This section of our website will teach you how to have a meaningful daily time with God that will feed your heart and soul, strengthen your stand for Christ and bring focus to your life in Him. It's incredibly simple, every Christ-follower can do it, and it will make more of a difference than any other single thing you could possibly do in Christ or for Christ.

Five Things You Must Have
There are five crucial things you must have for your daily encounter with God's Word. These five things will help you make the most of your time:

Bible Pen Journal Bible Reading Plan Daily Planner

SOAP
Once you gather the tools listed above, simply proceed through four steps each day. You'll see them listed as four buttons across the top of this page. They even form an easy-to-remember word--SOAP. Scripture, observation, application and prayer. There are other methods available to you and by no means is this is the only way to study and apply God's Word--but it's a great easy-to-use method for the vast majority. So, if you don't already have another plan in mind, why not start here?

  • Scripture. The Bible isn't a novel storybook to just read, and its teachings and language can be intimiating at first. Learn to enter God's Word and rely on Him to guide you through His thoughts in Scripture. Begin...

  • Observation. The question is not "does God speak?" but rather, "Are you listening?" Learn how to set aside distractions so you can observe the divine lessons God is teaching through His Word. Begin...

  • Application. The rubber meets the road as you write down how your life will be different today as a result of what you have just studied. If God brought it to your attention, it demands action. Begin...

  • Prayer. Finish your daily time with God in prayer, talking to Him and asking Him to help you understand and apply what you have studied. Thank Him for the power of His Word. Begin...
